You know your marina. A first-time visitor does not.

A berth reference means little until someone can see where it is. A clear map brings your pontoons, paths and facilities together, so visitors have useful information before they need to ask.

01

Make each berth easier to find

Show pontoon names, berth numbers and mooring areas using the same labels as your signs and arrival instructions. Help new berth holders and visiting crews understand the layout.

02

Spend less time repeating directions

Show reception, toilets, showers and laundry in one clear guide. Your team can send the map with arrival information and use it when they explain the marina to visitors.

03

Help people arriving by road

Boat owners, guests and contractors also need to find their way from the car park. Mark entrances, pedestrian gates, paths and the correct reception or service area.

04

Make your facilities easy to find

A fuel dock, pump-out point, chandlery or café is more useful when visitors know where it is. Show the services you offer and how they connect to the rest of the marina.

05

Show where essential points are

Include recycling, waste disposal, life-saving equipment and fire points where these are provided. You confirm the locations and labels before we complete the map.

06

Replace a plan that no longer fits

If pontoons, paths or facilities have changed, an old plan can confuse visitors. Bring the layout up to date and use the same clear design on your website, signs and welcome packs.

A marina map we have created

Overwater Marina, Cheshire.

This illustrated map brings the moorings and facilities of a canal marina into one view. Explore the full map to see the named areas, access points and map key.

MOORINGS

Named areas with distinct colours

Mooring areas such as Foxglove, Bluebell and Anemone have clear labels and separate colours. Visitors can relate the names they are given to a place on the map.

ACCESS

The route from land to water

The map shows the road entrance, canal entrance, paths and parking around the basin. The moorings sit within the full marina layout.

FACILITIES

A useful key beside the map

Reception, showers, recycling and the pump-out / fuel dock appear in the key. The same symbols mark their locations on the map.

Questions about marina maps

We create site maps for coastal, river and canal marinas. Start with your marina address and we can help you choose the useful details.

Ask about your marina
How much does a marina map cost?

Maps start at £150 + VAT. The final quote depends on your layout, the detail required and the printed or interactive options you choose. Tell us what you need and we will confirm the cost.

What can the map show?

We can show berth numbers, pontoon names, visitor moorings, reception, parking, pedestrian access and facilities. These can include toilets, showers, fuel, pump-out, waste disposal, a slipway, shops and cafés. You confirm which features to include.

Do we need an existing marina plan?

No. Send the marina address to start. An aerial image, sketch, drone photo or existing plan can help. We will need you to confirm berth labels and details that cannot be seen from above.

Can you make the map interactive?

Yes. We can create an interactive version with search, photos, details and links for the places you want visitors to explore. The holiday park demo above shows the tool in use. Ask us to include an interactive version in your quote.

Can the interactive map go on our website?

Yes. You can embed the interactive map on your website and share its link in arrival emails. Visitors open it in a web browser on their phone, tablet or computer, without an app download.

Can we use the map for signs and welcome packs?

Yes. We provide artwork for print and digital use. Tell us the sizes and file formats your printer or sign maker needs. Physical printing and signs can be quoted separately.

How long does the design take?

The first artwork proof usually takes about three days. Final timing depends on your feedback and the changes required. We confirm the timing for any interactive work with your quote.

Can we request changes to the proof?

Yes. Revisions are included. You check the berth labels, access routes, facilities and branding with us before you approve the final artwork.
